DIY: Dry-Shampoo *english*

Hey guys! Since I recognized a lot of visitors from English speaking countries I thought it would be nice to translate some of my posts into English. Well, maybe not all the product reviews, because most of them are about stuff from German shops, but at least the do-it-yourself posts which you can use all over the world.

Please be kind, it´s been a while since I´ve used written English, I´m sure I´m going to make a lot of mistakes, especially grammar mistakes. But hey, I´ll do my very best 🙂 And now… let’s start with my first do-it-yourself: dry-shampoo. It´s one of my favourites, because it´s so easy but extremely helpful.

All you need is:

  • starch (2 tablespoons)
  • bicarbonate of soda / baking powder (1 teaspoon)
  • and, depending on your hair colour: cinnamon or cacao powder (just add until it fits a little bit to your hair colour, maybe about 1-2 teaspoons)

So the redheads should prefer cinnamon, with brown or darker hair you should use the cacao powder. Blondes can cancel the third ingredient.

Mix it and strain it through a sieve – that’s it! You´ve got a fluffy powder which takes the fat and smell out of your hair. Just rub it into your hair, wait a minute and then take a towel to rub it out again. Then brush your hair to remove all of the powder.

I can show you my „before and after“ picture, which I shot during my first try. I had a really awful „bad hair day“, but I had to leave the house quickly… so I just used this dry-shampoo. There are not more than five minutes between these pictures:

It´s amazing isn´t it?
